This package is designed to assess and support your physiological stress response using a structured, evidence-based approach.

Chronic stress can dysregulate the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis, leading to altered cortisol patterns. This may present as elevated, blunted, or flattened cortisol rhythms, which can impact energy, sleep, mood, metabolic function, and hormone balance.

The Adrenocortex Stress Profile measures cortisol in saliva across the day, providing insight into your diurnal rhythm rather than a single timepoint. Salivary testing reflects the free, bioavailable (active) fraction of cortisol—the portion able to enter cells and exert physiological effects—whereas blood testing largely measures total cortisol, including protein-bound (inactive) hormone. This makes salivary testing particularly useful for assessing functional HPA axis activity.

This allows us to identify patterns such as:

• Elevated cortisol (often linked with anxiety, poor sleep, or feeling “wired”)

• Low or blunted cortisol output (associated with fatigue, burnout, or reduced stress resilience)

• Disrupted daily rhythm (impacting energy, focus, and recovery)

This data supports a more targeted and individualised treatment plan, rather than a generalised approach.
